Pandora Films & Books runs a preview of Hollywood and Asian Women, a DVD course material perfect for gender studies and ethnic studies classes.
Date: Tuesday, March 26
Time: Doors open at 15:00. Screening starts at 15:15.
Program: Screening is from 15:15 to 15:45, followed by a talk session by Professor Fukuko Kobayashi (Waseda University).
Admission: Free
How to apply: Send an email by March 15 including your name, affiliation, phone, fax, email and the number of attendees, to pandora @pan-dora.co.jp.
* Up to three people per institution are admitted.
* Seats are limited to 50 and will be assigned by lot if oversubscribed.

Hollywood and Asian Women is designed as a university-level course material that explores how American media portray Asians and Asian Americans. What has changed and what has not? What hope is left? The director, Elaine Kim, teaches at the Department of Asian American Studies, University of California at Berkeley.
